Account Executive - Oahu, Maui, Kauai

Our field team is a critical function of the company moving products that Hawaii people use daily to retailer shelves across the islands.

Account Executive – Oahu, Maui, Kauai

The Account Executive role is responsible for servicing and selling to retail accounts within an assigned territory to ensure client standards are met and volume is increased.

Work is completed within set times and days each week. You will be working with leading global consumer brands in national and local retailers in the Hawaii market.

Account Executives are the eyes and ears of the company and the liaison between retailers and Webco. They are responsible for driving sales through store level activities like identifying operational replenishment issues, assisting with merchandising daily deliveries, identifying incremental sales opportunities, and supporting marketing promotions.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Grow company revenue and profitability.
  • Build and maintain relationships in store with all levels of management and personnel.
  • Identify and secure incremental sales opportunities to increase overall revenue.
  • Work cross-functionally within the company to implement store specific promotional sales strategies guided by marketing events, manufacturer offers, new item launches, sales trends and shopper insights.
  • Assist Business Directors in achieving company’s income and expense budgets through proper forecasting and inventory management.
  • Utilize company reporting tools to analyze sales by retailer, store, and category.
  • Work with store personnel to identify business wins and implement plans to overcome obstacles.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Operations: Assist with merchandising deliveries for both every day and promotional items. Identify replenishment opportunities/issues. Partner with store management to address store level issues and Business Directors for market issues. Prioritize and assess workload daily to ensure all required tasks are executed. Consistently execute daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks. Be supportive, flexible, and able to adjust to routing changes to meet business needs.
  • Culture: Live the company’s values. Support a solution-oriented work environment by sharing information and ideas.
  • Qualifications: 1 year of work experience in sales or similar work environment. Ability to identify opportunities and implement solutions. Must be self-motivated and demonstrate strong work principles, organizational skills, and time management o Able to work independently with little or no supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills. Comfortable working with data.

Requirements

  • Dependable source of personal transportation.
  • Must provide a driver’s abstract and evidence of insurability.

Operations

Warehouse Support

Our Operations team is a critical function of the company moving products that Hawaii people use daily to retailers across the islands.

POSITION SUMMARY: Under supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, performs receiving, stocking, pulling and staging of consumer products in multiple warehouse areas. Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision. Performance based on time sensitive and accurate order pulling or receipt of incoming material.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS: Ensures incoming freight is scanned into and put away in primary or back up pallet positions, operating forklift or pickers as required. Ensures products are pulled on a timely basis, using scanning devices operating with a warehouse management system, and operating forklift or pickers as required. Follows established procedures on notifying supervisor of NIS (not in stock) items. Communicates daily with supervisor to achieve 100% in-stock performance. Upon completion of orders, responsible to deliver products to Consolidators in appropriate areas, operating forklift as required. Prepare equipment and vehicles for use; includes regularly checking forklift and picker to ensure they are in operating condition and performing routine inspection of mechanical equipment. Maintains a clean and orderly warehouse. Performs other related warehouse duties as may be required or assigned.

OTHER FUNCTIONS: May be required to work in alternate warehouses or perform additional duties assigned by supervisor. Maintains yard and areas in and around warehouse as required.

Communication, Physical and Mental Demands: Visual ability to read handwritten or typed documents, and display screen of various warehouse equipment. Able to conduct verbal conversation and hear normal range verbal conversation (approximately 60 decibels). Must understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Able to sit, stand, stoop, kneel, bend and walk. Able to sit or stand for sustained periods of time. Able to walk hard flooring for sustained periods of time. Able to climb slopes, stairs, steps, ramps and ladders. Able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds frequently. Able to push and/or pull a variety of tools and equipment weighing up to 80 pounds. Able to sustain strenuous manual labor for 8 hours. Able to exhibit full range of motion for shoulder external rotation and internal rotation, shoulder abduction and adduction, elbow flexion and extension, shoulder extension and flexion, back, lateral flexion, hip flexion and extension, and knee flexion. Able to work at various elevated heights in safe and effective manner. Able to work in a wide range of temperatures. Position requires working under deadline pressures and low tolerance for inaccuracies in storing and pulling of product line.

Education: High School graduation or equivalent.

Experience: One year of warehouse experience in storing and pulling orders in a warehouse unit, including the operation of scanning devices or voice directed picking systems, preferred. Certified on the safe and correct operation of forklift and picker preferred.

Working Conditions: Working conditions are considered acceptable and involve lifting, standing and carrying, and exposure to hazards common in a warehouse environment. Indoors under regular warehouse conditions; outdoors in all types of weather. Equipment Used: Operates forklift, pickers, pallet jacks, uses hand truck, scanners and standard safety equipment.

Work Hours: DAY, EVENING, OVERNIGHT & WEEKEND shifts available starting at 6:00 am, 3:00 pm, or 9:00 pm. Sun – Thurs and/or Mon thru Fri. Weekend shifts also available. Must be flexible and able to work overtime as necessary. Work schedule may vary, depending on various warehouse locations.

POSITION SUMMARY:

To perform general delivery and unloading duties to the company’s customers. All functions must be in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety rules. Performance based on timely deliveries to the company’s customers while building relationships through exceptional service. Responsible for daily maintenance of vehicle (reporting any mechanical issues; inspecting tires, fluid levels, license expirations, lights, turn signals, cleanliness, etc.). Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

FLSA Status: Full-time; non-exempt

Reports to: Dispatcher/Supervisor Department: Warehouse

Primary Purpose: To perform general delivery and unloading duties to the company’s customers. All functions must be in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety rules. Performance based on timely deliveries to the company’s customers while building relationships through exceptional service. Responsible for daily maintenance of vehicle (reporting any mechanical issues; inspecting tires, fluid levels, license expirations, lights, turn signals, cleanliness, etc.). Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.

Essential Functions:

  • Loads and unloads truck; verifies load against invoices; prepares route to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient deliveries.
  • Maintains maintenance log of truck assigned and ensures truck is maintained and serviced on a scheduled basis.
  • Maintains cleanliness of the truck; inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.
  • Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive expedited delivery instructions.
  • Collects return or rejected merchandise, with documentation, and delivers this to the Returns department, prior to the end of each day.
  • Treats all internal/external contacts as customers and strives to meet their expectations by providing responsive, adaptive and exceptional added value service.
  • Ensures all deliveries/pickups are signed and properly processed.
  • Performs other related duties as may be required or assigned.

Other Functions:

  • May be required to work within the warehouse or perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintains yard and areas in and around warehouse as required.

Working Conditions: Working conditions are considered acceptable, but occasionally involve lifting, standing and carrying, and exposure to hazards common in a warehouse environment. Prolonged times of sitting.

Equipment: Maintains assigned delivery truck and is certified on the correct operation of said equipment assigned. Operates forklift, pallet jacks, uses handtruck and standard safety equipment. Reports deficiencies to supervisor on a timely basis.

Work Hours: Work hours vary by scheduled delivery loads, normally 40 hours Monday-Friday. Some Saturday, Sunday and overtime work may be scheduled.
